Nice to get back to an ACCA show after a year of cancellations. The car earned another preservation award. I got really busy looking at other mustangs and forgot to take any photos of the fastback. Here are a couple of my friends collecting their awards and some 66 GT350 shots.
This was the first show after the total restoration on the fastback. It was ready to go for 2020 but we had to wait a long year due to all the shows being cancelled in 2020. The car earned a gold in concours trailered.
The car earned its first gold at the Fredericksburg, VA show. It was a really big show with close to 500 cars. Lot of early cars where were shown in the concours class. The Bullitt mustang was also at this show.
This was a Grand National show and only cars that have earned their senior awards are allowed to show. So some of the best cars were present on Saturday for judging. This was the second trip Charlotte. The car earned its first preservation award.
This is probably the best MCA show that I have attended. The venue was great and the banquet at NASA was awesome. I had a great parking space inside the hangar with the vintage planes.
This was the first trip to a MCA show for the fastback. I had done a lot of cleanup but this was pre-restoration. The car received a silver award which is what I was hoping for.
It was a rainy weekend and I actually drove the Hipo from Atlanta to Charlotte. The car earned its AACA senior award on this trip.
